keith moore

Keith has been teaching for almost 10 years in the DC area, and now teaches exclusively at AYC. He began his training studying Iyengar yoga (focusing on alignment and therapeutics). However, once he discovered the vinyasa system of Ashtanga, he was hooked. The strength, flexibility, and focus gained in the practice fit his active lifestyle perfectly (Even now, he still competes regularly in ultra marathons – trail runs that range from 50K to 100 miles). Having made four extended trips to Mysore, India, Keith has learned from the source–and has brought that perspective of day-by-day dedication back. In 2002 he was given authorization to teach by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. As a certified massage therapist, Keith brings a deep understanding of physiology and anatomy into his classes. Keith is available, by appointment only, for private yoga instruction and/or massage. He may be contacted via eMail.
